Young inventors, great inventions

Invention 1: Ocean Cleanup Array by (Boyan Slat, 19 years old) from Holland.
-device to clean up plastic trash from the ocean.
-an estimated 7,250,000 tonnes of plastic could potentially be removed in 4-5 years.
-concept presented at TedXDelft 2012 and currently looking for financial backing.

Invention 2: Catalyst Which Turns Plastic into Biofuel by (Azza Faiad, 16 years old) from Egypt.
-cheap catalyst to create biofuel worth millions each year.
-the process remains a secret :)
-currently getting her findings patented through the Egyptian Patent Office.

Invention 3: Supercapacitor, charges mobile phone in 20 seconds by (Eesha Khare, 18 years old) from US.
-invented a storage device that holds a large amount of energy in a small amount of space.
-can last for 100,000 charges cycles as compared to current conventional batteries of 1,000 charges.

Invention 4: Heat Generated Flashlight by (Ann Makosinski, 16 years old) from Canda.
-flashlight does not require batteries, toxic chemicals, or kinetic energy to run.
-simply runs off the warmth of your hands.
-awarded $25,000 at the 2013 Google Science Fair.
